Is Claude Code absolutely required?

Claude Code is an effective tool, but essentially requires a Max plan to do anything useful. I see that Gemini CLI is also supported - which is useful at a much lower price. Right now I'm reading this as "Valid submissions require you to spend $100 - $200/month on an outside service".

    Hi Adam, thank you for bringing it up.
    We are adding Gemini CLI support as we speak, planning on announcing it today / tomorrow.
    Due to certain differences in the functionality of Gemini CLI as compared to Claude Code, the initial release will not work as smooth, but it will absolutely be possible to use it :)
